Silk PLA Metal Rainbow is a PLA-based decorative filament with a metallic rainbow shimmer that shifts color along the print. Intended for visual and model prints, not for functional or load-bearing parts. Softer than standard PLA — support removal is easier — though slightly more brittle. Best results on large prints where the color transition is fully visible.
The finish is glossy and does not need post-processing. If you need a stronger material, use PLA Pro instead.
Printing Temperature – Silk PLA Metal Rainbow
Nozzle: 200°C (up to 210°C on fast printers) — ~10°C lower than PLA Pro
Bed: 60°C
Slower print speeds recommended
Storage
Ships vacuum-sealed with desiccant. Once opened, store sealed with desiccant — Silk PLA absorbs moisture and becomes brittle.
